Buck Findlay, Peter Samson and Don Stephens were nominated by GHSRA as referees aged over 30 with less than 3 years experience.
In 2005 Nathan Roberts and Michael Johnstone were selected on the basis of the performances at the Under 16 Referee Competition the previous year. They joined referees from New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland and Western Australia.
